Website or mobile app: which should you build first?

For most businesses the right order is website first, app second. A website brings new customers through search. An app keeps existing customers engaged with notifications and quick reordering.

If your website has an admin panel and an API, the same backend can later power an Android or iOS app, so nothing is wasted.
